poplar; brown paint; remnants of wire strings; string closest to player appears to be wound-string; 3/4" diameter alternating sound holes; tuners 5/8" diameter; numbers carved into fretboard; top nailed with small, round nails; fretboard edge is straight with very little slant; no scallops in fretboard
