poplar; square-cut nails; 15 1/2" staples for frets; could have been fretted under 2 strings; indentations at each end of fingerboard; large lip on top and bottom; 1 wound string; traces of a possible checkerboard on back; mitred corners; no scallops on fretboard; soundholes 5/8" diameter.
