Description
The current owner of this instrument reported that this instrument was given to his mother (b. 1906) when she was 13-14 years old by one Edna Garner, from Hardin County. The builder of this instrument reportedly made another like it. This particular instrument was equipped 4 D strings. The owner's mother played it often, especially in the late afternoon as the others came in from the fields, singing a number of traditional and religious songs.
